Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MainQuest — the web app at betterme.center and the MainQuest iOS app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The service

MainQuest helps you track habits, keep a diary, manage a calendar and mail, and talk to Alfred, an AI assistant that uses your MainQuest data (calendar, habits, diary) to give personalized answers. Features and plan limits (Free, Lite, Pro, Nxt Lvl) are described at betterme.page/pricingand may change from time to time; we'll do our best to give notice of material reductions to a paid plan's features.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• One account per person; Free-tier accounts are limited to a single active device (see the Privacy Policy).
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use MainQuest.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Paid plans renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase, until cancelled.
• Web subscriptions are billed via Stripe and can be managed or cancelled from Settings or Stripe's customer portal. iOS subscriptions are billed via Apple and are managed through your Apple ID subscription settings, per Apple's standard rules.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't provide partial refunds for unused time, except where required by law or by Apple's/Stripe's own refund policies.
• If a free trial is offered, its length and what happens at the end will be clearly shown before you start it.
• Prices may vary by region and payment platform (e.g. Apple's in-app pricing reflects Apple's standard commission).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, or to harass, abuse, or harm others;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
• Use automated means to create accounts or circumvent plan limits;
• Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or that you don't have the right to share.

6. Your content

You own what you write — your diary entries, habits, and calendar events. By using the Service, you grant MainQuest a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending relevant parts of it to Alfred/Anthropic or our transcription provider, as described in the Privacy Policy). We don't use your personal content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.

7. AI-generated content & health disclaimer

Alfred's responses are generated by an AI model and can be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Alfred is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, financial, or legal advice — for anything serious, please consult a qualified professional.

The sleep-coaching feature is a habit-forming tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition, including sleep disorders. If you have concerns about your sleep or health, talk to a doctor.

8. Third-party integrations

Connecting Google, Strava, Apple Health, or signing in via Google/Apple links your MainQuest account to a third-party service governed by that provider's own terms. We're not responsible for those services' availability, accuracy, or their own handling of your data.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

10. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MainQuest is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on Alfred's responses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (for example, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, where applicable under local law).

11. Governing law

[These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles — confirm and finalize this section, including a dispute-resolution venue, once MainQuest's legal entity is registered.]

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
